Race report by Heine Herholdt
On 16 & 17 November it was the final deciding leg of the South African Electric onroad National championship. MMCRC hosted an action packed event with great turnout in the south of Johannesburg. It all came down to the final race to decide who was going to be the next Touring car champions.Low traction on Saturday made it very difficult for those who had their cars ready to go on Friday and a lot of the drivers struggled to get their cars around the dusty surface. In 13.5T it was Antonio Caroli who pulled an "Arrive and Drive" move with his Xray T4 '14 who took overall TQ. 17.5T TQ belonged to Ashley Hurley. In 1/12th it was the local boy Shaun Schutte who TQ'd and in the "Main Event", Touring Modified Jason Hillcoat dominated once again.

After a rainstorm on Saturday Evening the track was washed and re sugared which brought a lot of traction for the day ahead. In 1/12th it was Shaun with his X12 who dominated once again to take the win and bag the overall Championship for the year.

In 17.5T Ashley Hurley with his T4 was in a league of his own, followed by Schumacher driver Kallin Kommel and XRAY's Justin Cloete in tow. The "Krokodil" Andre Greeff (XRAY) had a difficult drive in the finals but he still managed a 4th place and took home the Overall Championship for the Year.

Then it was time for 13.5T where TQ Man Antonio Caroli was leading from the front only to make a mistake late in the race that cost him dearly. Michael Wiseman (Serpent) was there to capitalise and take the win, with Hein Kotze (XRAY) and Anderton Smith (XRAY) in tow. Anderton bagged the overall championship.

In Touring Modified Jason Hillcoat (XRAY) won the first race and Anderton Smith (XRAY) bagged the second final, it all came down to the last run of the day and it was a ding dong battle between the two of them, in the end Jason was the victor and won the Event and was Crowned South African Touring Modified Champion. Overall Team XRAY bagged all the Championships making it 4 from 4 for total domination.

Well Done to all Team XRAY Drivers for bringing home the silverware.
